Patrick Donnelly

Patrick Donnelly is an actor, clown, and teacher. Motion picture credits include: The Ciderhouse Rules, The Love Letter, Original Sins, Happy Doomsday, Trial By Fire, Dischord and The Bus Stop Movie, which was named best short film at the 1999 Ajijic Film Festival in Mexico. He was a founding member of the Elliot Norton Award winning Boston fringe theater company Raven Theatrical, appearing in Psycho Beach Party & Emil and the Detectives; both productions were extended multiple times. He played Miss Fern in Bad Seed at the Ohio Theater in NYC, which was named a top ten fringe production of 1999 by the Village Voice. He appeared as Harpo in Groucho: A Life in Revue at the Jewish Theater of New England. He co-created (with Bronwyn Sims) This is not a Tango,  a clown dance which was performed at 2008 New York City Clown Theater Festival, the Extraordinary Dance Festival 2008 at Colorado College, the Downtown Clown Revue, and LaMama ETC.

Most recently, he has been touring an original two actor adaptation of Antigone. He also performs Bouffon as Rufus, and has appeared at Tiny Dangerous Fun at Sycamore Bar, Galapagos Art Space, Big Sky Studio and several other New York venues. He teaches at CP Casting in Boston and at Luminz studio in Brattleboro, Vermont. He has taught Acting at the Bolshoi Ballet Summer Intensive, Colorado College Extraordinary Dance Festival, Marlboro College, The Skybox and Big Sky Studio in Brooklyn, NY, Canopy Studios in Athens, GA and the State University of New York at Oneonta. He studied  Clown with Jane Nichols, Mick Barnfather, Chris Bayes and Molly Brennan, Short & Long form Improv with Gary Austin, Michael Gellman, David Razowsky, Playwriting with Jeffrey Sweet,  Neutral Mask with Dodi DiSanto, Commedia with Mark McKenna and Bouffon with Eric Davis. Patrick is Artistic Director of Strong Coffee Stage of Vermont.
